New York Rangers' fans can breathe a little easy. The headline is bad, but the extent of Rick Nash's shoulder injury is not.

Nash was hurt Friday in a game, while playing for HC Davos in a Swiss League game.

Nash's agent, Joe Resnick, said Nash was taken out of the game for precautionary measures and a MRI showed there was no structural damage in the shoulder. He is listed as day-to-day.

The Rangers acquired the star winger from the Columbus Blue Jackets in a trade this offseason for forwards Artem Anisimov, Brandon Dubinsky, defenseman Tim Erixon and a first round draft pick.

Although NHL games aren't scheduled for any time soon, this is not the type of news that any New York Ranger fan wants to hear.
